<p>While we operate as our own distinct entity, the Chessington Junior Chess Club is deeply related to the historic Surbiton Chess Club, which has roots in the area dating back over 100 years. This deep local history is woven into the very fabric of our coaching.</p>
<p>Our Family Connection: Our highly experienced coach, Mrs. Briscoe, is carrying on a powerful family legacy. Her late father served as the dedicated Chairman of the Surbiton Chess Club for over 40 years, making our club the children's version of that established, respected tradition. This unique background ensures every lesson you receive is rooted in a lifetime of competitive excellence and club leadership.</p>
<p>We offer structured, modern instruction tailored for today's young players, yet we are proud to be related to a lineage that has shaped chess in the Surbiton and Kingston area for a century.</p>
